You can see a video of the making of that drawing here:
I also worked with fluid acrylic on a series of life drawings:
I will display a selection of my flowers paintings, it will be a good fit for exhibiting in a garden 🙂
The Art in the Garden tour is a 2 days self guided tour of the North Shore gardens, with visual artists displaying and selling their works and musicians performing all weekend.
This year, the tour will take place Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th from 12:00pm-5:00pm both days – rain or shine!
Stay tuned: I will publish the garden location a bit later, once confirmed.
Mike Wakefield is a photography artist who also works for the North Shore News. He came last week to take a few pictures of the studio and share a bit of my art and process in the November 20th edition of the paper.
Yesterday I dropped off Terra Incognita II and Stitched trees at the Vancouver Art Gallery Art Rentals and Sales showroom. There are available on their website to rent or to purchase.
Art Rental & Sales is a not-for-profit business operated by the Vancouver Art Gallery. Since 1952, the program has promoted emerging and mid-career Canadian artists through the rental and sale of their artwork. All the artwork in the rental program is consigned by the artists who receive the majority of the fees collected. Remaining proceeds help fund programming at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
I will have 8 Flower paintings in exhibit at the Federation of Canadian Artist gallery in Granville Island for their Summer Gallery show running July 19-31.
