Frequently Asked Questions & Shop Policies

Have a question that is not answered below? Please contact me here, and I would be happy to help!

1. How is my order packaged and shipped? Orders are processed and shipped within 2–3 business days using the shipping option you selected at checkout. You will receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.

  • Original Paintings: Packaged with deep care using several layers of acid-free tissue paper, plastic, and protective Styrofoam or cardboard.
  • Drawings & Prints: Shipped flat in a sturdy, rigid envelope to prevent bending.
  • Ceramics: Because pottery is fragile, these pieces are heavily padded. They are wrapped in thick layers of bubble wrap or eco-friendly packing peanuts and shipped in sturdy boxes to ensure they arrive at your door safely.

2. When will I receive my artwork? You will see an estimated shipping time at checkout based on your location and the carrier selected (Canada Post or DHL). Please note that these are estimates, and occasional carrier delays can happen.

3. What is your return policy? I want you to be absolutely thrilled with your new artwork!

  • For Paintings & Prints: I accept returns within 7 days of delivery. The artwork must be returned in its original, undamaged condition. Once received, I will issue a refund minus the original shipping costs and any payment processing fees (like PayPal fees).
  • For Ceramics: Please remember that my pottery is proudly and intentionally “deliciously wonky.” Asymmetrical shapes, glaze variations, and uneven rims are part of the wabi-sabi handmade process and are not considered defects. However, if you are not in love with your piece, I accept returns within 7 days. Note: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and ensuring the fragile item is packaged safely. If a returned ceramic piece arrives back to my studio broken, I cannot issue a refund.

4. What happens if my order arrives damaged? I package everything incredibly carefully, but sometimes accidents happen in transit!

  • If your painting or print arrives damaged, please contact me immediately so we can arrange a return and a refund.
  • If your ceramic piece arrives broken, please email me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the broken piece AND photos of the damaged shipping box. I need these photos to file an insurance claim with the shipping carrier. Once I have the photos, I will issue you a full refund right away!

5. How should I care for my original art and pottery?

Ceramics: Unless otherwise noted in the product description, all my functional pottery is food-safe. While they are microwave and dishwasher-safe, I highly recommend handwashing your handmade ceramics to protect the glossy glazes and raw clay textures for years to come.

Paintings: If your painting becomes dusty, simply wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents. All paintings are finished with either varnish or wax to protect them. As with any original art, please avoid hanging it in direct, harsh sunlight.
